The “Eternity” painting has found a new home, the perfect home.

A guest at the studio remarked how the horizon looked like it went on forever, I told her the name was Eternity and she agreed that it was appropriately named. She contacted me a few days later and said she had found a place in her home for the landscape — she wanted to  acquire it to celebrate her and her husband’s 60th wedding anniversary. I’m so happy for them!

Some details:  The painting is a mixed-media acrylic on a 28×34 panel, nestled in a black floater frame. The gemstones in the foreground include blue agate, citrine, carnelian, rose quartz, black tourmaline and fine mica. Not only do the stones add additional texture and interest to the painting, they also represent properties that combine beautifully with the scene. Blue agate is associated with truth, loyalty and reliability. Citrine attracts wealth, prosperity and success. It imparts joy, wonder, delight and enthusiasm.  Carnelian is known for being a stone of courage, endurance, energy, leadership, and motivation.  Rose quartz is known as the crystal of unconditional love. It’s said to boost feelings of self-love and foster loving relationships with others. Black tourmaline represents a reduction in anxiety and stress.

Personally, I think this sounds like the perfect combination for an anniversary painting.  Best wishes to this lovely couple.
